Tom Hanks Picks A Fight With Fonzie on Happy Days

June 25, 2019 By the80sruled Leave a Comment

Did you know that Tom Hanks was a guest star on Happy Days back in the early 80’s? And, he picked a fight with the Fonz? It’s true! During an episode of Happy Days in season 10 called “A Little Case of Revenge”, Tom Hanks as Dwayne Mitchell, a character who was pushed off the swing by Fonzie when they were kids, shows up at Arnold’s Drive-in as a black belt in karate and proceeds to taunt and pick on Fonzie.

Not only does he pick on the Fonz, but Tom’s character actually rips the sleeves off Fonzie’s sports coat, and eventually karate kicks him through a window in the diner (in dramatic albeit very cheesy fashion). In true Fonzie style, the Fonz returns wearing his leather jacket and without throwing a punch, defuses the entire situation and once again establishes himself as the coolest man TV has ever known. Relive the entire scene below!
