The last year of the ’80s produced some of our favorite songs from the entire decade. The first number one song in 1989 was Poison’s ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn‘. And, the last song number one song from 1989 was Phil Collins’ ‘Another Day in Paradise’. In the weeks and months in between these two bookend hits, were songs from Bon Jovi, Paula Abdul, The Bangles, New Kids on the Block, Roxette, and many more!
