‘Captain EO’ was a 1986 mini-movie starring Michael Jackson. It was written by George Lucas and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The movie was shown at Disney theme parks from 1986 through 1996. It returned to Disney parks in 2010 as a tribute after Michael’s death. It was shown for the last time at Epcot on December 6, 2015.

In 1989, Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne released ‘Close My Eyes Forever’. It was the third single released from Lita Ford’s ‘Lita’ album, and it was her highest charting single on the Hot 100 charts when it peaked at #8, and Ozzy’s highest charting single as a solo artist.
According to Lita and Ozzy, they wrote the song as the result of an accident in the studio during which they both drank heavily and inadvertently wrote the lyrics to the song together.
Eddie Money released ‘I Wanna Go Back’ in 1986. It was the second single released from his album ‘Can’t Hold Back’, and it peaked at #3 on the Rock charts and #14 on the Hot 100 charts. The album also included the #1 rock hit ‘Take Me Home Tonight’ and the top ten rock hit ‘Endless Nights’!
Motley Crue released some of the most popular music videos of the entire decade of the 80’s. The music video for ‘Home Sweet Home’ spent over three months at number one on MTV’s daily request chart, which caused MTV to invoke the unwritten “Crue Rule”, which dropped a music video from eligibility on the request line after thirty days. In 1983, the duo won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. The song was featured on the Billboard Hot 100 year-end charts at #27.
