Belinda Carlisle scored a number of hits in the ’80s after leaving The Go-Go’s. Her first solo single, Mad About You peaked at number three on the Hot 100 charts in 1986, and in 1989, Leave a Light On peaked at number 11 on the Hot 100 charts and number eight on the AC charts. In between these two songs, she scored three top tens on the Hot 100 charts including a number one single for Heaven Is a Place on Earth in 1987.

Leave a Light On was the first single from Carlisle’s 1989 Runaway Horses album which also produced her last top 40 hit on the Hot 100 charts with Summer Rain, which peaked at number 30 in 1990.

Enjoy this look back at videos for both Leave a Light On and Summer Rain from Belinda Carlisle, and just for fun, we’ve got videos for her three top tens mentioned above: Heaven Is a Place on Earth, I Get Weak, and Circle in the Sand!
