In the ’80s, metal music ruled the airwaves, MTV and L.A.’s sunset strip. Here’s the story of what the sunset strip was like in the ’80s as told by the band members who were there. This quote by former MTV Headbangers Ball host Riki Rachtman summed it up pretty well:

    The 80s was the best wrote songs ever these days they don’t put forth no effort in writing them there will never be songs or bands like that anymore
