Here Comes My Girl was the third single released from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ third studio album, Damn the Torpedoes. The album is considered to be the band’s breakthrough album with the first two singles from the album, Don’t Do Me Like That and Refugee, peaking at numbers 10 and 15 respectively on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming their first top 20 hits on the Hot 100 chart.
