Scarface was released in the United States on December 1, 1983 and starred Al Pacino as Tony Montana, a Cuban refugee who arrives penniless in Miami in the ’80s and goes on to become a powerful drug lord. The film was the 16th highest-grossing film of 1983 bringing in over $66 million worldwide.
