The Running Man was a 1987 action film that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, MarĂa Conchita Alonso, Richard Dawson, Yaphet Kotto, and Jesse Ventura. It also had a large ensemble cast that included football legend Jim Brown and ’80s guitarist Dweezil Zappa.

The film took place in a dystopian United States between 2017 and 2019 and centered around a television show called The Running Man where convicted criminal “runners” must escape death at the hands of professional killers with nicknames like Buzzsaw, Fireball, Captain Freedom, Dynamo, and Professor Subzero.
