The Plimsouls formed in Paramount, CA back in 1978. Between ’78 and ’84, they recorded two albums and an EP before splitting up in 1984. They’re most remembered though for their song A Million Miles Away because it was featured in the 1983 movie Valley Girl starring Nicolas Cage and Deborah Foreman. Not only was the song featured in the movie, but the band appeared in the movie performing the song and parts of two other songs.
