The Goonies was released on June 7, 1985 in the United States and grossed over $124 million worldwide on a budget of $19 million. In 2017, The Goonies was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

It’s also one of our all time favorite movies from the ’80s with so many great characters like Chunk, Mikey, Mouth, Data, and Sloth played by so many recognizable actors from the ’80s. In this video, Youtube user Facts Verse showcases the cast of The Goonies in 1985 and in 2021. Enjoy this look at the cast of The Goonies then and now!

P.S. Just for fun, we’ve also got our favorite scene from the movie where Chunk spills his guts to the Fratelli gang!

See what Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez and the rest of the pack have been up to since their big 19 debut. Big hair, bigger shoulder pads and unrelenting greed were the hallmarks of the 19, and no show reflected the signs of the times better than ‘Dynasty.’ See what the cast is up to now.
