Rocky III was released to theaters on May 28, 1982. I remember going to see it with my dad when I was 11 years old, and it was one of the most exciting movies I had ever seen. On a budget of only $17 million, it grossed over $270 million worldwide. It was the fourth highest grossing film of 1982, and the theme song, Eye of the Tiger by Survivor was a huge hit on the charts and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.

The main cast of Rocky III consisted of:

  • Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa
  • Talia Shire as Adrian Balboa
  • Burt Young as Paulie Pennino
  • Carl Weathers as Apollo Creed
  • Burgess Meredith as Mickey Goldmill
  • Tony Burton as Duke Evers
  • Mr. T as Clubber Lang
  • Ina Fried as Rocky Balboa, Jr.
  • Hulk Hogan as Thunderlips

Enjoy this look back at the cast of Rocky III 40 years later in 2022!
