If you grew up in the ’80s, the Facts of Life was part of your life! The girls were like our sisters, and Ms. Garrett was like our TV mom. The show aired from August 24, 1979 to May 7, 1988, making it one of the longest running sitcoms of the ’80s.

Facts of Life was a spinoff of Diff’rent Strokes that featured the Drummonds’ former housekeeper Ms. Garrett who became the housemother of a dormitory at a private all-girls school called Eastland School in Peekskill, NY. The main four characters that Ms. Garrett took care of were Blair (Lisa Whelchel), Tootie (Kim Fields), Natalie (Mindy Cohn), and Jo (Nancy McKeon). Several other recognizable faces from the ’80s appeared on the show throughout the ’80s.
