The Best of Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse

January 11, 2020 By the80sruled Leave a Comment

Roadhouse was released in 1989, and it starred Patrick Swayze as a “cooler”, which is bar slang for the head bouncer at the Double Deuce, the meanest, loudest, and rowdiest bar south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

In addition to Swayze, the movie also starred Sam Elliott, as Wade Garrett, Swayze’s character’s mentor and fellow bouncer. The movie also starred Kelly Lynch as Swayze’s love interest. The movie was not a major success at the box office, but after being released to home video, and then on cable television, the movie has since garnered a significant cult following.

Here are some of our favorite scenes from 1989’s ‘Roadhouse’!
