Superman IV – ‘No Pain, No Gain Gym’ Scene

January 9, 2022 By the80sruled Leave a Comment

Superman IV was the last Superman film to feature Christopher Reeve as Superman. It was released to theaters in July 1987. It wasn’t as successful at the box office as the previous films, but there were still so many great scenes in this movie. One of our favorite scenes is when Clark Kent goes to the gym with the new editor of the Daily Planet, Lacy, played by Mariel Hemingway. He does his best to act like he’s a complete wimp until the very end when Lacy is leaving the gym and he chunks a ton of weights over to the jerk in the gym who first told him “No pain, no gain.”

Enjoy this look back at the “No Pain, No Gain” scene from Superman IV!
