Tootsie was released to theaters in 1982 and starred Dustin Hoffman as a talented but volatile actor whose reputation for being difficult drives him to adopt the identity of a woman named Tootsie in order to land a job. The theme song for Tootsie was It Might Be You by Stephen Bishop. It Might Be You peaked at number 25 on the Hot 100 charts, but number one on the Adult Contemporary charts.

Enjoy this look back at It Might Be You, the theme song for one of the early ’80s best films, Tootsie!
