Remembering Country Music Legend Charley Pride

December 14, 2020 By the80sruled Leave a Comment

Country music legend Charley Pride passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Pride died from complications due to COVID-19. Pride joins a growing list of legendary musicians like Kenny Rogers, Eddie Van Halen, and so many more who have passed away in 2020.

Pride’s signature song was 1971’s ‘Kiss an Angel Good Mornin’, but in the ’80s’, he scored seven number one hits on the country charts with ‘Honky Tonk Blues’, ‘You Win Again’, ‘Never Been So Loved (In All My Life)’, ‘Mountain of Love’, ‘You’re So Good When You’re Bad’, ‘Why Baby Why’, and ‘Night Games’.

Have a look and listen to all seven of Pride’s number one songs from the ’80s, and let’s kick off this tribute with Pride performing his signature song, ‘Kiss An Angel Good Mornin’ live. RIP Charley Pride… you will be sorely missed by so many.
