In the UK, Rainbow scored a series of top ten hits in the late ’70s/early ’80s, but their biggest hit in the U.S. was 1982’s Stone Cold from their Straight Between the Eyes album. Stone Cold was the first single released from the album, and it was their only top 40 hit on the Hot 100 charts, peaking at number 40. But, rock fans loved the song propelling it to number one on the Mainstream Rock charts! They would scored another huge rock hit in 1983 with Street of Dreams which peaked at number two on the rock charts.

Enjoy a look back at Rainbow’s music video for their number one rock hit Stone Cold as well as a look back at our personal favorite song, Since You Been Gone from 1979. Since You Been Gone peaked at number six on the UK charts and number 57 on the Hot 100 charts in the U.S.
