John Lennon released ‘(Just Like) Starting Over’ on October 24, 1980. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts on December 27, 1980, and spent five weeks at number one. Sadly, Lennon was killed on December 8th, and this was his last single released during his lifetime. He was only 40 years old when he was shot and killed in New York.
