Staying Alive was the 1983 sequel to 1977’s Saturday Night Fever. It starred John Travolta reprising his role as Tony Manero, and it was directed by Sylvester Stallone. It was released on July 15, 1983, and was a huge hit at the box office earning $127 million worldwide.

Enjoy this look back at Joan Rivers interviewing Sylvester Stallone about the movie and midway through the interview, John Travolta makes a surprise entrance. It’s a fun interview from two guys who were on top of the world at the time.

The soundtrack to the movie featured six songs from the Bee Gees, and a number of songs from Stallone’s brother Frank Stallone. One of those songs was a top ten hit for Frank Stallone, so we’re featuring the music video for it below as well. Enjoy Frank Stallone’s music video for Far from Over!
