‘Hellraiser’ 30th Anniversary Edition – Official Animated Video featuring Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy from Motorhead

October 31, 2021 By the80sruled 1 Comment

Every now and then, we feature stories or videos from today that either remind us of the ’80s and/or feature ’80s rock stars, and today is one of those times! After all, it’s Halloween, so what’s more perfect that this new video from Ozzy Osbourne and the late Lemmy from Motorhead. It’s a new animated music video for the song Hellraiser that Lemmy co-wrote with Ozzy for Ozzy’s ’92 No More Tears album before Motorhead recorded their own version of Hellraiser in 1992.

Ozzy released an expanded 30th anniversary reissue of his No More Tears album on September 17th, and this duet version of Hellraiser is featured on the album. The song is a tribute to Lemmy who passed away in 2015 and features Lemmy’s vocals alongside Ozzy’s.

Ozzy just released the animated video below for Hellraiser that features Ozzy and Lemmy going after a winged demon that steals Lemmy’s bass and flees in a giant spaceship. It’s completely ridiculous and utterly perfect at the same time!

Enjoy Ozzy and Lemmy reunited in this animated video for Hellraiser!

The two vocalists became friends in the Seventies, and when Osbourne split from Sabbath in 1979, he took his nascent solo band out on the road with Mot rhead. The pair remained close friends and in the runup to reissue arrives on the h anniversary of the original release. In addition to the Hellraiser mashup, the digital edition features demo recordings and live renditions of the songs on the album. A two-LP vinyl edition of the album will come out the same day.
