Caddyshack was released to theaters in the summer of 1980 and is one of our favorite comedies of all time. There are so many great characters in the film, and two of the best are Rodney Dangerfield as Al Czervik and Ted Knight as Judge Elihu Smails.

Two of our favorite scenes from the movie are when Judge Smails is picking out a hat in the pro shop when Al walks in and comments, “Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh? Oh, it looks good on you though”, and shortly thereafter, the scene where Al walks up on Smails about to tee off and bets Smails 100 bucks he’ll slice it into the woods. Smails answers Al with “Gambling is illegal at Bushwood sir, and I never slice!”

Enjoy this look back at two of the funniest clips of all time from Caddyshack!
