Nikita was one of Elton John’s biggest hits of the ’80s. It hit number one on numerous charts around the world and was a top ten hit on the Hot 100 charts and the AC charts in the US. Fellow pop superstar George Michael provides backing vocals on the song. The actress playing Nikita in the music video (Anya Major) was also the actress who starred in Apple Computer’s famous “1984” commercial as the heroine running with a sledgehammer and hurls the hammer at the screen at the end of the commercial.

Enjoy this look back at Elton John’s music video for Nikita as well as a look at the Apple Computer commercial featuring Anya Major aka Nikita!
