David Lee Roth on ‘The Late Show’ with Joan Rivers in 1986

In 1986, David Lee Roth appeared on The Late Show with Joan Rivers and talked about life on the road, what he wears when he’s at home by himself, and his love life. He also addresses his break-up with Van Halen. One of the my favorite parts of the interview was actually when Rivers asked him what his mother thought of his career, and he said, “I think she’s thinking pretty highly of it. I mean, you’ve gotta go for what you do the best, and you make the most of it.” A nice little life lesson from Diamond Dave.

Enjoy this look back at David Lee Roth on with Joan Rivers back in 1986!
