Chicago – ‘Look Away’ – Official Music Video – 1989’s Number One Song

March 4, 2018 By the80sruled 1 Comment

Chicago released their first single all the way back in July 1969, and 20 years later, they scored their largest selling single of all time with 1989’s ‘Look Away’. ‘Look Away’ was the number one song on the 1989 year-end Billboard Hot 100 chart even though it never held the #1 spot on the charts in 1989. It had hit number one for two weeks from December 4-17, 1988.

This was also Chicago’s only number one single following Peter Cetera’s departure from the band in 1985.

Hopefully, the real author will receive credit for this song. Diane Warren did not write this song. I heard the original demo and the writer is in the process of legal action against the plagerism.
