In 1980, Bob Marley and the Wailers released Uprising, their 12th and final studio album released before Marley passed in away 1981 from cancer at the young age of 36. Redemption Song was the final track on the final album, and it is widely considered to be on the greatest songs of all time. In 2021, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Redemption Song at #42 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
