In 1988, Henry Lee Summer released a self-titled album that produced one of 1988’s biggest rock hits. I Wish I Had a Girl topped the Mainstream Rock charts in ’88, and it peaked at number 20 on the Hot 100 charts. He scored three more top 30 hits on the Rock charts in ’88 and ’89 with Darlin’ Danielle Don’t, which peaked at number nine, Hands on the Radio, which peaked at number 28, and Hey Baby which peaked at number six on the Rock charts and number 18 on the Hot 100 charts.
