Weird Science was released on August 2, 1985 and starred Anthony Michael-Hall, Ilan Mitchell-Smith, Kelly LeBrock, Robert Downey, Jr., Bill Paxton, and a host of other familiar faces from the ’80s movies. In the movie, nerdy outcasts Gary and Wyatt (Anthony Michael-Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith) create the perfect woman (Kelly LeBrock) in their own Frankenstein-inspired way, and their lives are changed forever. The movie has become an ’80s cult classic!

Weird Science wasn’t John Hughes’ biggest hit, but it’s become a cult favorite over the years. We catch up with the movie’s cast members today.  It was a commercial disappointment, pulling in just $23 million at the domestic box office. Reviews were harsh, although a select few critics, most notably Roger Ebert, defended the film.
