Simply Red have scored a ton of top 40 hits in the UK since their debut album was released back in 1985, but in the US, they scored two huge hits during the ’80s. The first was Holding Back the Years, which topped the Hot 100 charts in 1986, and the second was If You Don’t Know Me By Now, which also topped the Hot 100 charts in 1989. In ’87, they scored a minor hit with The Right Thing, which peaked at number 27 on the Hot 100 charts.

Enjoy this look back at Simply Red’s music video for Holding Back the Years as well as the video for If You Don’t Know Me By Now!
