When our military heroes who have given their lives for us return home -an American Flag is draped on their casket-
This is the symbol of our country which they died for.
Now in September 2017 we especially appreciate Robin Willam ‘s message in this video.
Many of us wear a Flag shirt -as people in uniform – Firefighters etc have a patch on their arm – we have bumper stickers as well .
This is not wearing a piece of the flag as some say – and is not disrespectful – we do because we respect the symbol of our country and wear it proudly .
Now in September 2017 -please stop the political and politician rhetoric concerning the players kneeling instead of standing for our national anthem.

ANYONE has the right to publicly protest – but please do not disrespect the symbol of our country to do it during our national anthem.
When I was substituting 25 years ago I asked the class ( 8th grade) to stand for the pledge of allegiance. A boy stated in an arrogant tone;, “We voted to reject it!” Their teacher had them vote if they wanted to pledge allegiance to the flag..

As we saluted the flag- a majority of the class walked out . They had a right – but to me It is so sad. By the way I finally found a small flag, full of dust in the closet under a bunch of things so I could hold it while we said the pledge. Enough said!
