After they were ousted from Milli Vanilli due to one of the most famous lip-synching scams in history, Rob Pilatus & Fabrice Morvan wanted to prove to the world that they could actually sing. So, in 1992, they recorded the album Rob & Fab, and in 1993, the album was released in the United States only due to financial constraints. Sadly, due to their steep fall from popularity after the lip-synching scandal, the album only sold about 2,000 copies. The first and only single from the album was We Can Get It On, which failed to chart.

This would be the final album released by the duo as Rob Pilatus died on April 3, 1998 from an alcohol and prescription drug overdose on the eve of a promotional tour for a new Milli Vanilli album called Back and in Attack, which featured Rob and Fab on vocals. A sad and tragic ending to the sad and tragic story of Milli Vanilli…
