Miami Vice ran on NBC from September 16, 1984 until January 25, 1990. The series made Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas superstars, and countless actors and actresses who are famous today appeared on the show in the ’80s as unknown actors/actresses at the time.

The finale was a two-hour episode titled Freefall, and it actually aired in May, 1989. There were three episodes that did not air (“World of Trouble”, “Miracle Man”, and “Leap of Faith”), which appears during the June re-runs as “Lost Episodes”. A fourth, previously unaired episode, “Too Much Too Late”, is aired for the first time in 1990, on the USA Network. It has since been run by other networks in syndication with the fifth-season episodes.

Enjoy this look back at the final scene from the series finale of Miami Vice in May, 1989!
