Red Dawn was released to theaters on August 10, 1984, and was a success at the box office, and has since become a cult favorite among ’80s adventure film enthusiasts. The movie followed a group of teenagers calling themselves Wolverines who take on the Soviet Union who had invaded the United States with their Cuban and Nicaraguan allies.
