The Best Scene from 1988’s ‘Bull Durham’ featuring Kevin Costner and Tim Robbins

1988’s Bull Durham was and still is one of my favorite baseball movies of all time, and in this simple scene, Kevin Costner and Tim Robbins were fantastic. To many, it was just a scene featuring an older catcher who is jealous that his younger pitcher is getting called up to the big leagues so fast, but when you really watch the scene, there are so many things happening all at once. Crash (Costner) isn’t so much jealous that Ebby (Robbins) is getting called up, but rather it’s the realization that his career is probably over because he won’t be catching for Ebby anymore. Even in the end though, he still cares for Ebby and continues to try and help him learn what to do and not to do.

Enjoy this look back at the best scene from 1988’s Bull Durham!
