Survivor – ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ Official Music Video

July 23, 2017 By the80sruled Leave a Comment

Survivor’s Eye Of The Tiger is one of the most successful rock songs of all time. It held the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for six consecutive weeks, and Survivor won the Grammy Award for ‘Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal’ in 1982.

Of course, the band owes most of the success of the song to Sylvester Stallone who requested the band write the song as the theme song for his movie Rocky III. No offense to the band, but the music video would have been much, much better had it featured clips from Rocky III. But, none the less, it is interesting to see an 80s rock band with a lead singer wearing a beret. Enjoy Survivor’s music video for Eye Of The Tiger!
