Before Soundgarden and Pearl Jam took over the Seattle music scene, Mother Love Bone were the stars of Seattle’s burgeoning rock scene. Unfortunately, the band’s career was over before it really began when frontman Andrew Young died from a heroin overdose. However, the band’s legacy lives on in songs like this one, ‘Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns’. Mother Love Bone members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament would go on to form Temple of the Dog with Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell and later Pearl Jam with Eddie Vedder.
