The Moscow Music Peace Festival took place on August 12-13, 1989. It was a one-time gathering of some of the biggest names in metal and rock who took the stage to promote world peace and international cooperation in fighting the drug war in Russia. The setlist for the festival included:

  • Skid Row
  • Gorky Park
  • Cinderella
  • Motley Crue
  • Ozzy Osbourne
  • Scorpions
  • Bon Jovi
  • All-Star Jam Session with various groups together

Even though there were reportedly problems with the bands concerning how long each could play, who would go on before the other, and how much of a stage presence each could have, the actual performances from the bands were awesome.

Enjoy this look back at some of the greatest performances from the 1989 Moscow Music Peace Festival!
