I live in Seattle and have been a Live music fanatic for a long time.. The 1st time I heard George & Shannon, I was “hooked” with their incredible array of original songs. Most club owners wanted bands to play Top 40 songs but B meets G, shattered that idea!! Not only did I follow them for years, but we became friends…. Eventually, they sadly, moved to LA…. They signed with A. M. Records…
I wrote them a letter…(Snail Mail)… and about 6 months later… I got an innocent reply…… They had gotten married, and had a beautiful little girl. They had offered a song to Janet Jackson that was rejected…. However, they said, a “talented, promising, unknown singer, wanted to record these George /Shannon tunes:
1. “How Will I Know”
2. “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)”
The unknown singer?..Whitney Houston
