In 1985, Johnny Carson was a guest on Late Night with David Letterman. Johnny comes out and almost sits down before going backstage to retrieve something. A few seconds later, Carson comes back out with a cardboard desk that he puts together before sitting down saying he only performs well behind a desk. It was a hilarious entrance for an awesome interview between Johnny Carson and David Letterman.
