In 1987, LL Cool J scored his first number one song when I Need Love topped the Billboard Dance charts. It was also his first top 20 hit on the Hot 100 charts when it peaked at number 14 in ’87. I Need Love was the second single released from his second studio album Bigger and Deffer. The first single, I’m Bad, was a hit on the Dance charts as well, peaking at number four in ’87.
