The 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contest is considered to be the greatest slam dunk contest in history. I remember watching this live and being in awe of Jordan and Wilkins.
The competition featured:
- Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls
- Dominique Wilkins of the Atlanta Hawks
- Clyde Drexler of the Portland Trailblazers
- Otis Smith of the Golden State Warriors
- Jerome Kersey of the Portland Trailblazers
- Greg Anderson of the San Antonio Spurs
- Spud Webb of the Atlanta Hawks
The first and second rounds were great, but the final round between Michael Jordan and Dominque Wilkins was fantastic! The two all-time greats went back and forth with memorable dunks!
