How cool is this? We found this video from icmroadkill on YouTube of Ralph Macchio at 18 doing a screen test for a couple of ABC shows including Eight is Enough and a Dracula series. If you thought Macchio looked young for his age in The Karate Kid, wait until you see this video. He’s 18, but could easily pass for 14 or 15 if he wanted to.
This is so cool to see Macchio before he was a household name. Oh, and the voice you hear reading with Macchio is Phil Hartman, whose main movie roles at the time were as an Assistant on the 1978 movie Stunt Rock, and as “Man at airport with gun” in 1980’s The Gong Show Movie, and “Actor being filmed in the background” in 1980’s Cheech & Chong’s Next Movie.
