Hot in the City was a song by Billy Idol off his self-titled 1982 album. It was the first single released from the album, and it was his first top 30 hit on the Hot 100 charts when it peaked at #23.
The original music video featured below was released in 1982 and features scenes from New York City interspersed with stock footage of nuclear bomb tests. However, it’s the second music video he released for the song in 1987 that is most remembered due its content.
