The Karate Kid was released to theaters in 1984 and spawned three movie sequels (The Karate Kid Part II in 1986, The Karate Kid Part III in 1989, and The Next Karate Kid in 1994). In addition to the three movie sequels, there was a short-lived animated series, The Karate Kid on NBC in 1989, a Broadway adaptation in January 2020, a remake of the original film in 2010, and the TV/web series Cobra Kai, which started in 2018 and is still going strong today.

The original is still our personal favorite though. Enjoy this look at the cast of The Karate Kid from 1984 then and now from our friends on YouTube’s Hollywood Celebrity channel!
