In the mid-to-late ’80s, everyone knew who Mike Tyson was. Whether you were a boxing aficionado, or someone who had never watched a boxing match in your life, when Tyson was fighting, you were watching! It’s safe to say that during the ’80s, Tyson was the baddest man on the planet. I remember going to a party to watch the Mike Tyson vs. Michael Spinks match on PPV and literally had just sat down when Tyson knocked him out and the fight was over just 91 seconds into the first round.
